dearest baby carson kwong, when you were inside your mumma’s tummy you had your first photoshoot. and now at 14 days old you officially had your second photoshoot. boy have you accomplished so much in your life already, aside from all the sleeping, eating + pooping.
as well as photographing this boss baby (who was an absolute angel the whole session by the way), i also got to photograph carson’s grandparents who had flown in from hong kong for a few weeks. it was so special to be able to meet them for this particular occasion, and even more so to share food with them at lunch.
tania looked amazing as a new mum and jack smashed it holding his little ‘potato sack’ of a son. whenever i photograph newborns, i try so hard to capture every tiny detail from their little newborn peach fuzz, to their baby acne, flaking new skin, their clenched fists, and adorable little toes because these details are so fleeting.
documenting newborns in-home is so special because of the stories a home tells – it narrates where the baby is welcomed in to the family + where the baby will grow, flourish, and learn. (not to mention the convenience of just being at home when you have a newborn!). and to all the new parents worrying about the mess of their home – i only need the corner of a room + some window light to produce stunning photos of your family.
thank you tania + jack for inviting me into your home again and entrusting me to document such a special milestone in your lives. little carson is such a fine looking fella + is so lucky to have you two as his parents. now go forth + rock this parenting thing!
