mum and dad// canary wharf

what a privilege it is to give back to your parents the skills that they have helped to invest in. they have always been willing models but for some reason, it has taken me this long to finally give them a photoshoot they deserve. having said that, this shoot was not planned at all! my mum wanted to visit the crossrail roof garden up in canary wharf and i literally just happened to have my camera on me.

perhaps it is the cringe and goof of my parents which put me off from doing a proper photoshoot with them for so long. i told them to simply walk down an aisle with each other but my mum, being mum, kept talking as she walked so they ended up having to walk that aisle five times. i guess shoots like these teach me patience. (thanks mum.)

it was only until i took this photo that my mum told me it was similar to the one my uncle took for my parents’ wedding invites! interesting fact i never knew.

maybe it was just meant to be, but not only did we have a sweet, quiet, bright location, we were also at the garden just in time for golden hour! that means beautiful, softly lit photos and a magical glow.
